Documenting your new life is one the most precious things I get to do in this job. I know how important these images will be to you not only in this moment but as the years progress. Many of my clients start with maternity photos and then move on to a newborn and other milestone sessions to document this special and fleeting first year.     My indoor newborn sessions are photographed on digital and edited to match my film aesthetic. Outdoor maternity photos are photographed with film and a little bit of digital.

    Maternity sessions are typically scheduled between 28-32 weeks. Newborn sessions can take place anytime in the first month. The first week they will be more sleepy and later in the month they will be more alert. Most of my clients choose 2-3 weeks after birth to schedule their newborn session.

    Newborn sessions are typically done in your home. You don’t have to have a perfect house for photos, just one or two areas with good window light is enough. A backyard is nice too if you want some outdoor images. If you’re interested in an outdoor maternity session, you can check out my list of favorite locations.

    I will upload the high res images to an online gallery where you can view and download. Newborn sessions photographed digitally are usually ready within 2 weeks while outdoor maternity sessions photographed on film are ready in 3-4 weeks.

    I am very involved in planning our session from helping with wardrobe styling and recommending makeup artists to choosing locations and handling logistics.
