what to expect

Family Sessions

Before you read on, I wanted to share a little bit about my process and what you can expect from working with me. I photograph with a mix of film and digital for family sessions but rely heavily on film to accomplish my style and tones. Working with film is a slow and laid back process with only 16 shots per roll which allows me to create an environment where you can feel relaxed. We’ll get little breaks throughout the session where we can get to know each other while I change out rolls. I’ve found that this process works really well with young kids who don’t like to stay still as there are little breaks for them to reset. 

My goal is to always capture the authentic so that when you see your images you feel a connection. To help facilitate this, I’ll direct you in a way that feels comfortable, familiar and playful. I want you to see your love and family as art. Something to hold on to, hang on the walls and pass down to your children and grandchildren. My goal is to help capture the moments and stages you want to remember forever because it all goes by so quickly.
