Baker Beach Family Session at Sunset
I photograph a lot of sessions at Baker Beach in San Francisco, it’s an obvious favorite not only of my clients but also of mine. It can also be a difficult place to plan a session because of the weather. With our micro climate here in the city, a sunny warm day on one side of the city can be cold and foggy on another and this beach gets especially foggy. That being said, it’s completely worth the wait for a clear day. Not only are the views of the bridge so incredible but the beach itself, the colors of the sunset and the soothing waves make for a beautiful and peaceful place for photos. Of course I believe this is best captured on film. I think it’s difficult to recreate these colors and softness with digital and though I often try, I still find myself more drawn to the imperfect qualities and softness of film.
